IT Helpdesk Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced IT Helpdesk Specialist to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, software applications, and related IT equipment.


  • Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and other IT-related issues. This includes troubleshooting problems, identifying root causes, and implementing appropriate solutions
  • Monitor and manage the IT help desk ticketing system, ensuring that all support requests are properly documented, tracked, and resolved within a
    reasonable time
  • Offer guidance and training to users on software applications, hardware usage, and general IT best practices to improve their understanding and proficiency
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and deployment of software applications and hardware components
  • Regularly perform system maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and system optimizations to ensure peak performance and security
  • Collaborate with network administrators to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, ensuring network connectivity and overall stability
  • Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data and systems from unauthorized access or cyber threats
  • Create and maintain documentation for IT procedures, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles to aid both support staff and end users


  • A Degree or diploma in Information Systems or related discipline or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and basic networking concepts
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and procedures in the ever-evolving IT landscape
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
