We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic that would help us ensure all machinery and equipment used in our printing manufacturing operate efficiently and safely. You will be tasked with inspection, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment safely, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry regulations.
Responsibilities
- Regularly inspect machinery and equipment to identify any potential issues or malfunctions
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and cleaning machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with machinery and equipment
- Install new machinery and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions
- Assemble components and parts to construct new machinery or modify existing equipment as needed
- Ensure that all machinery and equipment meet safety standards and regulations
- Identify and address safety hazards in the workplace, such as faulty equipment or inadequate guarding
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history
- Document inspections, maintenance tasks, and repairs performed on each piece of equipment
- Coordinate with production personnel and other maintenance team members to schedule maintenance activities and minimize downtime
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or maintenance technician in a manufacturing industrial environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Familiarity with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to industrial machinery and equipment
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed
